When asked what differentiates Nancy English from other HR professionals, this was her answer: 

"I would say that the fact that I over arch two cultures is not as common for others in my field. I was born in Colombia, South America and moved to US as a teenager so I completed all my schooling here.  Then later as an adult I briefly lived in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.  Having these experiences enabled me the ability  to adjust quickly and be flexible. Professionally, I have made it a practice to engage my clients in the solution. I am a strong believer that clients and managers know their business better than anyone so their input and ideas in the HR solutions is imperative. It is not uncommon that when listening to a client I will ask what he/she wants to do. Many leaders are surprised by this as they are used to having the HR person tell them what they have to do. I don't really believe that is best.
